It was a very nice stay on a wine tasting night. The double room was modern and had an electronic key card, a work desk and a TV set. The location was particularly good, within walking distance of old town. There were the Christmas market and a market around the hotel. The cold buffet breakfast was amazing and marvellous. The pool was nice and I had hot drinks in the downstairs bar. Furthermore, free Wi-Fi worked well in public areas.

The location was excellent for both Monschau and hill walking. The swimming pool was a good size for a proper swim and well maintained.
although we really enjoyed our stay I would assess the facilities as 3 star plus.

It is a large hotel with friendly reception, its own car park (theoretically payable but we were not asked to do so) and with well appointed and clean rooms. Monschau is a small village and the hotel is not dead centre but that is more an advantage than a disadvantage given the number of week-end visitors from Belgium and Germany and the consequent congestion in the centre. The buffet breakfast was excellent and, despite large numbers of guests, the service was attentive and efficient.
The hotel is clearly a popular base for coach groups and, though the hotel copes extremely well with this, it does make the restaurant somewhat canteen-like and noisy at dinner time even if the food served is both good and good value.

I recently stayed in a luxurious 4-star hotel in a stunning location. This hotel is situated in a steep-sided narrow wooded valley, just a short walk from the town center. The unique nature surrounding this place creates a tranquil atmosphere that is hard to beat. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, making my stay even more enjoyable. They were friendly, flexible, and always willing to help. The room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV, heating, and a sitting area. I loved the fact that there was a terrace with garden furniture, allowing me to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
I highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a wonderful place to stay.

When we arrived at the hotel we were relocated to an office building opposite so any facilities that may have been in the hotel were not on offer to us.

Very good and welcoming reception from Vanessa. Excellent pool facilities. Food and bar well priced.
The hotel is used by Coach Parties . There were 2 there with us and frankly swamped the hotel facilities. With only one elevator and the Restaurant on the 3rd floor and Swimming pool on the 5th floor there was a constant wait. Our toilet actually smelled which is almost unheared of in Germany. We checked out after one night and did not take up the second booked night.

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic! The value for money was unbeatable, with comfortable and modern rooms that were kept impeccably clean. The location, with a beautiful stream running through the garden, added to the overall charm. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect.
Breakfast delights could have been more varied.

Its location was perfect for exploring the town and the Christmas market. The room was very dated but clean and functional and the tv was modern and worked perfectly. The staff could cope with many languages and communication was not a problem. A little face lift and more individuality would do this hotel good.
When full of coach parties there is no a la carte menu just a canteen style buffet and individual guests are treated as part of the coach parties whether they wish it or not. The hotel car park was to be paid for and only one single blue badge parking place in it, and occupied for most of our stay by a non-badge car that the hotel was not prepared to move.

Reasonably large room with an own bathroom. Great setting and pubs and bars in front of the hotel. - Found in a good area, in front of a national park and a castle. - Quiet atmosphere, good sized restaurant for an intimate dinner. I had a lovely stay at Achat Hotel Monschau in Monschau. the room was spacious and had its own bathroom, which was a nice touch. the hotel is conveniently located in front of a national park and a castle, making it a great spot for exploring the area. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the option to have a cozy dinner at the well-sized restaurant. Plus, having pubs and bars right in front of the hotel added to the overall experience.
